A Walk in the Shadows of the Pacific Northwest

Laurie Hemingway is pleased to display her pastel pencil drawings in a naturalistic depiction from scenes she has photographed in the Pacific Northwest. These drawings engage you by capturing the interplay between dark and light. This is Laurie’s first showing in this medium.

Laurie has a BFA degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in Theatre and Costuming. She started her career as a costumer for the University of Washington. After the birth of her first child, she founded Hemingway Creations which sold Wee Lil’ Pillow® toddler pillows nationwide for over a decade.

As her three children have grown, Laurie now has time for a number of pursuits, including travel, photography, art using a variety of mediums (including Etch-a-Sketches), Mahjong, and Pickle Ball.

Laurie resides in Ravenna, with her husband Jim and her son Carson.
